eatMy is an independent food guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of Michelin Guide or Michelin. Awards and distinctions on this site are taken from publicly published Michelin Guide Malaysia selections (Stars, Bib Gourmand, Selected), with the edition year noted.

What this site is

eatMy is a Malaysia-wide food map. It lists the full published Michelin Guide Malaysia selection for Kuala Lumpur and Penang — Stars, Bib Gourmand, Selected, including street-food stalls — and independent iconic food in other states (Johor, Melaka, Perak, Sabah, Sarawak, and the rest), marked as not Michelin-listed. It is built for visitors searching “where to eat in Malaysia” as well as “[venue] Michelin KL”, not a feed of new cafe openings.

What this site is not

It is not the official Michelin Guide. It is not EatDrinkKL. It does not take bookings, user accounts, or payments for Featured in v1. Featured is a UI badge on a few seed entries. The Guide itself only inspects Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Other states appear as unlisted iconic food, never as fake Michelin badges. It does not copy reviews from other blogs.

Data sources

Michelin status and cuisine labels follow publicly published Michelin Guide Malaysia 2026 materials (Michelin Guide announcements and restaurant listings). Each page shows an address and a Google Maps search. It does not list official websites or Instagram.

Michelin-listed street food (Penang char koay teow, laksa, prawn mee; KL claypot rice, wantan mee, and others) is tagged Street food and quoted with the same year as restaurant badges. Street-food extras (Kin Kin Chili Pan Mee, Soong Kee Beef Noodles, Restoran Yut Kee) are iconic KL names whose pages state they are not Michelin-listed.

Update policy

Every venue record has a last_verified date. This seed was verified on 7 October 2026 against the published 2026 Malaysia selection. If a restaurant closes or a later Guide edition changes a badge, the JSON/MD record should be edited and the date bumped. We do not auto-ingest social posts.

Legal and PDPA

No Michelin logo assets. No fake reviews. No copied third-party review text. The outbound place link is a Google Maps search. Personal data is not collected in v1 (no accounts, no newsletter form).
